No new COVID-19 cases reported in Thunder Bay district

For the first time since May 11, no new cases have been reported in the Thunder Bay district.

THUNDER BAY— The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district fell on Friday after the health unit reported no new cases over the previous 24 hours.

The TBDHU also reported one previously diagnosed case had been resolved and one case reported previously was removed from the case count bringing the number of active cases in the district down to 29, two fewer than on Thursday.

The number of district residents in hospital with COVID-19 is five, including two in intensive care.

The health unit has reported a total of 3,328 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, with 29 active, 3,235 considered resolved, and 64 deaths in which the virus was a contributing or underlying cause.
