North side stabbing

A stabbing in the city’s north core sent a 24-year-old-man to the hospital. Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the stabbing took place around 8:20 p.m. near a convenience store on Red River Road and Junot Avenue on Friday.

A stabbing in the city’s north core sent a 24-year-old-man to the hospital.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the stabbing took place around 8:20 p.m. near a convenience store on Red River Road and Junot Avenue on Friday. Police say the victim was stabbed several times and later taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Police say they have a 16-year-old-boy in custody. Police charged with robbery and breach of probation. Police added that the suspect and victim knew each other.

The investigation is ongoing.
