Update: North Water Street collision leaves vehicle on roof

THUNDER BAY – City police are on scene investigating a collision that left a vehicle on its roof.

The crash, which occurred when the driver of the passenger vehicle clipped a guard wire on a hydro pole, resulted in the driver being arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Neither the driver nor his female passenger were seriously injured in the incident, which took place at the intersection of Camelot and North Water streets, just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Superior North EMS were each on scene, but left shortly afterward.

Police have not said whether or not charges will be laid.
