Northern Avenue from May Street to Vickers Street will be closed to through traffic beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
New storm sewer construction and road reconstruction scheduled to begin on Thursday is expected to last eight days.
The closure is necessary to complete sewer reconstruction on Brodie Street. Access will be limited to local traffic only.
Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour or take an alternate route.
