THUNDER BAY — The Northern Ontario School of Medicine has negotiated a new collective agreement with staff represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union.
The four-year agreement covers NOSM's full-time faculty, professional librarians, and professional staff.
It provides for a wage increase of 1.7 per cent effective July 1, followed over the next three years by successive increases of 1.75 per cent, 1.8 per cent and 1.9 per cent.
According to a news release from NOSM, there's a provision for Lakehead University and Laurentian University comparator adjustments in the third and fourth years of the agreement.
In addition to the pay hikes, various components of the benefit package will be enhanced.
