KENORA, Ont. - After going more than two weeks without any new positive cases of COVID-19, the Northwestern Health Unit is reporting a new case on Tuesday.
The confirmed test result is in the Kenora area and the health unit is following up with the individual and their contacts.
The Northwestern Health Unit does not release information on the location of positive COVID-19 test results and information related to gender, age, and method of transmission will be posted to the Ontario COVID data website when available.
There have been a total of 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area.
This latest case is the only known active case in the region.
