Northwestern Health Unit reports new COVID-19 cases

There are now 10 active cases in the Kenora region.

KENORA — The Northwestern Health Unit reported three new COVID-19 cases within its coverage area on Sunday.

All three cases are in the NWHU's Kenora region.

Followup is being done with the individuals, and contact tracing is underway.

There are currently 12 active COVID-19 cases in the NWHU's territory, including 10 in Kenora, one in the Dryden/Red Lake region, and one in the Sioux Lookout region,.

The NWHU confirmed a total of eight positive COVID-19 test results during the week of Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, out of a total of 2,201 individual tests.

The positivity rate last week was 0.36 per cent.
