Oak Medical Arts opens new sports medicine clinic

A new sports medicine clinic at Lakehead University has opened its doors.

THUNDER BAY – Oak Medical Arts has opened a new sports medicine clinic at Lakehead University’s athletics facilities.

“We’re really excited to be open for the first week of operations at the Oak Medical Arts Sports Medicine Clinic in partnership and collaboration with Lakehead University and Athletics. This project’s been a really long time in the making and we’re so excited to be open for our first week of operation,” said director Bryan Gray.

“We’re really excited for this to become a destination in Thunder Bay for sports medicine and related injuries, as well as performance and optimization.”

The clinic provides a variety of services including physiotherapy, chiropractic sports medicine, massage therapy, kinesiology, and many more.

“What’s really unique is this will be a destination where athletes and patients can come out and have all their needs met one day at a time.” said Gray.

The services at the sports medicine clinic aren’t limited to only Lakehead University athletes, the clinic is open to the community as a whole for sports related healthcare.

“So we’re really excited to be serving Lakehead University athletes, students and faculty employees.  We’re also really excited to engage with the community, with individuals and spots teams,” he added.

“Everyone from your weekend warriors playing sports in the evenings and on weekends, to youth and athletes coming up and rising in Thunder Bay, hopefully becoming the next star, as well as teams and clubs.”
