Olivia, Liam Ontario's top baby names in 2010s

More than 8,300 girls born in the province between 2010 and 2018 were named Olivia, according to government statistics.

TORONTO – Classrooms in the province are likely filled with boys named Liam and little girls named Olivia these days.

On Friday the Ontario government announced the two names were the most popular chosen this decade, from January 2010 to December 2018.

More than 8,300 girls in Ontario were named Olivia over the nine-year stretch.

Emma, Charlotte, Amelia and Ava rounded out the top five.

As for boys, after Liam was Noah, Lucas, William and Benjamin.
