THUNDER BAY – One man has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a two vehicle collision.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, emergency services responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Tuesday around 7:27 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 61 and Chippewa Road.
The driver of a Toyota sedan was north bound on Highway 61 when the driver of a tractor trailer unit failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and entered onto Highway 61 from Chippewa Road.
The tractor trailer unit collided with the sedan.
The male driver of the sedan was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The sedan sustained extensive damage.
The driver of the tractor trailer unit did not sustain injuries. He was charged with failure to stop at stop sign.
