One new COVID-19 case in District of Rainy River

The Northwestern Health Unit now has five active cases, compared with 116 in the District of Thunder Bay.

KENORA, Ont.  — The Northwestern Health Unit reported one new positive COVID-19 test result in its coverage area on Monday.

The case involves a person who lives in the District of Rainy River.

The NWHU said appropriate followup has started with the individual and with their contacts, according to protocol.

Anyone who is identified as potentially being at risk will be contacted directly.

In contrast to the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, which currently has 116 active cases, the NWHU has only five, including three in the Sioux Lookout region and one in the Kenora region.
