THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay continues to hover in the low single digits.
The TBD Health Unit reported one new positive test result for the virus on Wednesday.
The patient has no known exposure source, and lives in a First Nation community.
No previously-identified cases were resolved since Tuesday, so the COVID-19 caseload rose to four.
According to data posted by the TBDHU, no district residents with COVID-19 are presently receiving treatment in hospital.
Since the onset of the pandemic, 3,341 people in the district have tested positive for the virus.
