THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports one new COVID-19 case in its catchment area.
The TBDHU said Monday that the case is in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate surrounding area.
It said the source of exposure is unknown.
There are now four active COVID-19 cases in the district.
Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre currently is treating one admitted patient who has the virus.
This individual is in the hospital's intensive care unit.
The TBDHU also reported Monday that Public Health Ontario has confirmed that two more previously-confirmed COVID-19 cases in the district involved Variants of Concern.
There have been 189 cases with Variants of Concern so far in the district since March 22.
