THUNDER BAY — The active COVID-19 case count in the Thunder Bay district is holding steady at 15 despite the confirmation of another new case.
The district health unit said Wednesday morning that the new case involves a patient in the City of Thunder Bay or surrounding townships.
The virus was acquired through close contact with an infected individual.
A previously-diagnosed case was resolved in the preceding 24 hours, so the district's case count remained unchanged from Tuesday.
According to Geraldton District Hospital, as of Wednesday there were 11 active cases in Greenstone and surrounding First Nations.
That data is included in TBDHU's district-wide case count.
