One person sent to hospital after collision involving bicycle

The Thunder Bay Police Service said the person was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

THUNDER BAY — A collision involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist occurred near the intersection of Memorial Avenue and 11th Avenue on Saturday.

The accident took place shortly after 3 p.m., resulting in one person being taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the Thunder Bay Police Service. 

The cyclist's bike was also seen twisted on the median separating the opposing lanes of traffic.

A police car and an ambulance remained on the scene following the accident.
