According to a release, Kenora OPP were dispatched Saturday around 12:30 a.m. to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 525.
Police say a motor vehicle had struck a rock cut where the driver was ejected and the vehicle started on fire.
OPP, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene.
The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
