One sent to hospital after Limbrick Street fire

Fire broke out at about 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 7.

THUNDER BAY -- One person was taken to hospital for treatment after a fire broke out early Saturday morning at a Limbrick Street residence. 

In a release issued by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, crews arrived on scene just after 3 a.m. to find smoke pouring from the structure. An interior search of the home was initiated and one individual was found inside the home and safely removed, before being treated on scene by paramedics. 

Damage was contained to the area of origin and no other injuries were reported. 

No cause for the fire was given.
