THUNDER BAY — Depending on how far they need to travel, motorists using Onion Lake Road may have to take a detour over the next month-and-a-half.
The city's engineering and operations division will close the road Wednesday until it completes the replacement of a culvert at the intersection with Lancaster Avenue.
The project is expected to take about six weeks to complete.
While the work is underway, Onion Lake Road will be open only to local traffic between Wardrope Avenue and 375 Onion Lake Road.
A posted detour route will be in effect at Belton Street.
