THUNDER BAY -- A popular program that gives revelers another option for a safe ride home over the holiday season is about to start up for another year.
Operation Red Nose will resume services Friday and run through Dec. 31.
This year, there is a major change that will make the service more accessible for users.
This will be the first year that Red Nose is available through your smart phone.
The application allows you to call the closest Red Nose headquarters to arrange a pick-up, then a Volunteer will drive both you and your vehicle safely home.
Organizers said they are still recruiting volunteers.
Those interested can apply through the Operation Red Nose website.
