Operation Red Nose is returning for its second year.

The program launched for the first time in Thunder Bay last year, and provides a safe ride home for residents during the holiday season.

The service was first introduced in December, 2009. Operation Red Nose volunteers provide rides to anyone who has had too many drinks around the holidays. The service is free and the volunteers also bring home a person's vehicle as well.

St. John Ambulance has been chosen to host the program again.

Marketing co-ordinator Karen Wood said they are looking for volunteers and says they're excited for another successful campaign.

The program starts on Nov. 25 and will run until Boxing Day. Rides will be available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
