OPP arrest local man after Kenora break and enter

A 31-year-old Thunder Bay man was arrested by the OPP in Kenora after reports of a break and enter in that area.

(KENORA, ON)  Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FISU), Northwest Region Canine Unit  and Scenes of Crimes Officers (SOCO) are investigating multiple  break and enters and mischiefs in the west side of Kenora.

On Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m, police were dispatched to several mischiefs to vehicles in the west side of Kenora.

While police were conducting their investigation, there was a report of a break and enter in progress at a nearby residence.

Police obtained descriptors of the male and located him a few moments later within the vicinity. The male was arrested and transported to the Kenora Detachment.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Thunder Bay, Ontario has been charged with five counts of Mischief under $5,000 and three counts of Break and Enter a place to commit an indictable offence, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He is to appear in Bail Court in Kenora on November 10, 2016 to answer to the charges.
