WAWA, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have charged two Toronto-area men in connection with the death of a Sudbury resident whose body was found along Highway 17 in June.

The remains of 32-year-old Devin Collin, who was reported missing on June 17 were discovered on June 29 south of the Michipicoten River bridge.

A post-mortem reportedly revealed that Collin had been shot.

Houssein Hassan, 24, of Toronto is now charged with first degree murder.

Hassan is in custody awaiting a court appearance in Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday.

OPP said 22-year-old Demitri Fortomaris of Mississauga was arrested in late June in Mississauga on a charge of being an accessory to murder after the fact.

He is not currently in custody but is awaiting his next court date in November.

A police source said investigators didn't announce Fortomaris's apprehension at the time because they didn't want to compromise the investigation.
