GERALDTON, Ont. -- OPP are asking for the public's assistance as they investigate a Sunday morning hit and run.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a fail remain motor vehicle collision on Sunday around 10:14 a.m. in the area of First Street West and Clarke Avenue West in Geraldton.
Police deteremined that around 2:48 a.m. a motor vehicle travelling southbound on First Street West left the roadway and struck a fence and another parked vehicle, causing significant property damage.
The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, police are looking for the public assistance in locating a dark coloured 2019-2020 GMC Sierra 1500 or similar vehicle that was observed in the area around the time of the collision.
The OPP is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who has information to contact the Greenstone OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
