(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) - On Monday, December 12, 2016 at approximately 12:00pm, 21-year-old Rainbow Starr McKAY of Whitefish Bay was reported missing by her family to the Lac Seul Police Service.
A short while later, police located Ms. McKAY outside of a residence on George Angeconeb Drive in the Whitefish Bay area of Lac Seul First Nation Territory. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel attended the scene and she was pronounced dead.
Officers with the Lac Seul Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Daniel NADEAU of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
The post mortem was conducted December 14, 2016 and at this time police do not believe any criminal act led to the death of Rainbow Starr McKAY.
