OPP charge man for violating COVID-19 emergency orders

KENORA, Ont. —   Ontario Provincial Police have charged a man with failing to comply with Ontario's emergency orders related to the COVIC-19 pandemic.

Organized public events and social gatherings of more than five people are prohibited.

OPP received a complaint on Saturday about a large group of people gathering a residence on the south side of Kenora.

Officers attended the residence and educated the group about the emergency orders.

They also charged a 38-year-old man with violating the orders.

The offence carries a fine of $750.
