(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Friday, November 6, 2015 at approximately 10:14 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 589 in Gorham Township.
Upon officers arrival they observed a Honda Accord in the north bound ditch.
Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected an odour of alcohol emitting from the drivers breath and the driver exhibited obvious signs of impairment.
A 35-year-old, from Shuniah was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breath Sample contrary to the Criminal Code.
She is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on January 9, 2016 to answer to the charges.
