OPP find missing boater

THUNDER BAY – A 78-year-old Minnesota man missing while fishing north of Armstrong was found after a helicopter search.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a missing boater who had ventured out on a solo fishing trip on Ogoki Reservoir, which is located about 80 kilometres northeast of Armstrong.

Officers from the North West Region Emergency Response Team and the OPP helicopter conducted a search of the area and located the missing man shortly after 9 p.m.

Police say the man was dehydrated, but in otherwise good health.
