OPP investigate break and enter

Several electronic and sporting items were stolen from a Manitouwadge residence over the weekend.

MANITOUWADGE, Ont. – OPP are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate a weekend break and enter at a Manitouwadge residence.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, sometime over the weekend of Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 unknown persons kicked open the door to a residence in Manitouwadge and stole several electronic and sporting items.

Police say the home owner was away for the weekend, had locked his doors and left several lights on inside.

On Saturday, a neighbour noticed a door open in the middle of the day and contacted the home owner as well as police.

Police are requesting the public's assistance in this investigation and looking for anyone who may have any information regarding this B&E, heft. Please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
