OPP investigate break-ins, thefts

Police are investigating the theft of more than $10,000 worth of tractor trailer rims at a business in Emo.

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – The Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking for assistance from the public.

On the 24h of September 2016 at 3:46 a.m. officers of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police, (OPP)  were advised of an intrusion alarm at a front street business in the Village of Emo.

Officers attended the scene and determined the rear door of the business had been forcible open.

Also on the 26th of September 2016 officers were advised that 14 tractor tire and rims were stolen from a McIrvine Avenue business over the weekend in the Town of Fort Frances. Value is estimated over $10 000.

As well a Car Wash business on the 200 Block of Second Street East, Fort Frances had an unknown amount of currency taken from a cash box on the evening of 24th of September 2016.
