OPP investigate construction site thefts

The thefts occurred at three separate construction zones near Highway 11/17.

THUNDER BAY - Provincial police are investigating three separate break, enter and theft incidents that occurred at construction worksites located on Highway 527.

The thefts occurred on June 15 approximately 15 kilometres north of Highway 11/17, on Aug. 2 approximately 9 kilometres north of Highway 11/17, and between Aug. 2, 2019 and Aug. 6, 2019 approximately 94 kilometres north of Highway 11/17.

The unknown suspect(s) entered sea can storage containers and stole numerous items that included chainsaws, cordless drills, and tool boxes.

The total combined value of the stolen property is approximately $20,000.
