UPDATED: OPP investigate death in Nipigon

OPP have arrested a 30-year-old a woman following an investigation into the death of a Thornbury man in Nipigon over the weekend.

NIPIGON, Ont. -- Ontario Provincial Police have made an arrest following an investigation into the death of a 32-year-old man early Sunday morning.

According to a release, Nipigon OPP were called to investigate an incident on Highway 11/17 around 3:46 a.m.

Officers arrived and located an unresponsive man. The man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police have identified the deceased as Seth Dionne, 32, of Thornbury, Ontario. The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto where a post mortem examination will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Police have arrested and charged Denise Harrison, 30, of Collingwood, Ontario with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

An OPP spokesperson said the victim was outside the vehicle at the time the incident occurred.

Dionne and Harrison were known to each other.

The accused attended bail court at the Ontario Court of Justice and was remanded into custody until Wednesday.

OPP continue their investigation.
