OPP investigate fatal Highway 17 collision near Dryden

A single vehicle collision has claimed the life of a man on Highway 17 west of Dryden

DRYDEN, Ont. - One person is dead following a single vehicle collision on Highway 17 west of Dryden.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police media release, officers with the Dryden detachment responded to a single motor-vehicle collision just after 3 a.m. on Sunday in Eton Township on Highway 17, approximately 20 kilometres west of Dryden.

Police said a westbound vehicle left the highway and rolled before coming to rest in the north ditch.

A male driver was pronounced dead. The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Technical Collision Investigation unit was on the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
