There were some tense moments in Fort Frances Thursday following the discovery of a threatening note.
Officials with the Rainy River OPP say a bag left behind a local credit union included a note with instructions to fill the bag with money.
If the demands were not followed, the note indicated there would be consequences for businesses or schools in the Fort Frances area.
As a precaution, local schools were placed under lockdown, with exterior doors locked and monitored.
OPP continue to investigate.
