OPP investigating copper wire theft in Kenora

A rash of incidents took place between Oct. 8 and Nov. 22.

KENORA — A series of thefts in the Kenora area have caught the attention of the Ontario Provincial Police.

In a release issued on Tuesday, police say between Oct. 8 and Nov. 22, several thefts were reported at a variety of tower sites in the Kenora area, causing extensive damage. A significant amount of copper wire was stolen.

Police believe the incidents may be related and urge the public to stay vigilant and report any information that may assist in the investigation.
