Mishkeegogamang First Nation -- A criminal investigation has been launched following the death of a Mishkeegogamang Lake First nation resident.
In a release, the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service said a man went to his community's health centre Thursday for treatment of an injury he had suffered earlier in the week.
He was transported to Thunder Bay, where he died in hospital.
He's been identified as 34-year-old Delbert Sainnawap. A post-mortem is scheduled for Saturday.
The case has now been handed to the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch.
