FORT FRANCES, Ont - Ontario Provincial Police in Fort Frances are asking for the public’s help to finding the person or persons responsible for desecrating a local cemetery.
According to Rainy River OPP, sometime between Thursday Oct. 11 and Friday Oct. 12, an individual or individuals entered the Fort Frances Cemetery and knocked over approximately 50 gravestones.
The damage to the gravestones is said to be extensive and some were more than 100-years-old. The value of the damage has not yet been determined.
