THUNDER BAY -- Provincial police are investigating reports of stolen election signs.
Officials with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP say they’ve received several reports about campaign signs being stolen, damaged or tampered with in both Shuniah and Conmee Townships.
Police are asking area residents to be on the lookout for election sign vandalism and to report incidents immediately.
If found guilty of taking a campaign sign, a resident could face theft charges.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say they too have received reports of missing campaign signage.
