OPP investigating sudden death of teen in Kenora

KENORA, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police in Kenora are investigating the discovery of the body of a 16-year-old near Brinkman Road and Evergreen School.

In a release issued on Monday, police say they are working with the Office of the Chief Coroner, adding there is no concern for public safety at this time. The body was found on Saturday at about 8:50 p.m.

Police have not said whether the youth was a male or a female.

A post-mortem examination is expected in the next few days.
