SHUNIAH, Ont. - Police are asking for the public’s help in an investigation involving a stolen municipal vehicle from a public works yard in Shuniah.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police media release, officers with the Thunder Bay detachment responded to reports of a stolen vehicle on July 19 just before 4 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive.
The stolen vehicle is a 2012 Chevrolet 2500 HD Silverado with an Ontario license plate reading AB10988.
The truck has ‘Municipality of Shuniah’ decals on the driver and passenger doors, a flashing light bar, white fuel ‘D’ tank in the box, steel running boards, and the rear passenger quarter panel has a dent in it.
Police say the vehicle was stolen sometime between July 17 and 19 from the Shuniah Township Public Works Yard.
Anyone with information about the stolen vehicle is asked to call the Thunder Bay OPP Detachment at 1-807-939-2133.
