OPP investigating towel theft in Nipigon

OPP are searching for a suspect who took 15 towels from a business on Highway 11/17.

NIPIGON, Ont. – OPP are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate a theft at a Nipigon business.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers were dispatched to a report of a theft on Thursday from a business located on Highway 11/17.

Police say a man entered the business, accessed the shower area and removed about 15 used clean towels.

A review of security video shows the suspect to be a Caucasian male, 50-60 years old. He was wearing glasses, a blue T-shirt, green shorts, white socks and dark shoes.

The suspect then left the area in a white “Toy Hauler” type motorhome.

Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to call the Nipigon OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 807-887-2637.
