OPP lay charges in historical Red Rock sexual assaults

A 46-year-old faces seven counts in alleged assaults, which occurred more than a decade ago.

THUNDER BAY – OPP in Nipigon, Ont. have laid charges against a 46-year-old man after receiving complaints about historical sexual assaults in Red Rock more than a decade ago.

Police say the man, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the victims, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

The accused is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.

The investigation continues by the OPP North West Region Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Nipigon OPP detachment.
