OPP nab impaired driver in downtown Kenora

A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged after being stopped in downtown Kenora by OPP officers.

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male with impaired driving.

On Thursday September 22, 2016 at approximately 10:30 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the downtown area of Kenora.

Upon speaking to the driver, police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested at the scene.

The male was transported to detachment for further tests. 

As a result of this investigation, a 23-year-old Kenora man has been charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle with more than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He is to appear in Kenora Court on October 27, 2016 to answer to the charges.
