THUNDER BAY -- Already allegedly driving with a suspended licence, a 30-year-old Thunder Bay man is now also facing impaired driving charges.

OPP officers from the Atikokan detachment made a traffic stop on Highway 102 on just before 9 p.m. Monday night when they observed a vehicle being driven erratically.

While speaking to the driver, the officers determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the Thunder Bay detachment.

The man has been charged with impaired driving, operating a vehicle while over the blood alcohol limit and driving with a suspended license.

He is to appear in Thunder Bay court in August.
