WHITE RIVER, ON — Ontario Provincial Police have laid multiple charges against a trio from Brampton, Ontario following an incident that began in Longlac and ended near White River.
In a news release Wednesday, OPP said they laid a spike belt across Highway 631 to deflate the tires of a commercial vehicle being driven south by thieves who had stolen it on January 19 in Longlac.
After the vehicle was forced to a stop, police apprehended the male driver and two male passengers.
Among them, they face a dozen charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of a prohibited drug (cocaine).
