OPP net 10 pounds of pot during traffic stop

KENORA, Ont. -- Provincial police report that officers have made a substantial marijuana seizure in Northwestern Ontario.

KENORA, Ont. -- Provincial police report that officers have made a substantial marijuana seizure in Northwestern Ontario.

Officials with the Kenora detachment of the OPP say the seizure followed a traffic stop on Highway 17, near Kenora, early Tuesday morning.

After an examination of the vehicle, an officer located 10 pounds of marijuana.

Police estimate the marijuana had a potential street value of close to $20,000.

Two southern Ontario men have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
