OPP officer faces theft charge

An area police officer has been charged with theft.

The OPP’s professional standards bureau began an investigation following an incident in Geraldton on Sept. 11. As a result of that investigation a constable from the OPP’s North West Region faces a charge of theft.

Const. Brian Bellefeuille, 30, is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.
He is a member of the OPP’s Greenstone detachment.

The alleged incident that led to the charge occurred while the accused was off duty.
