A Schreiber OPP officer continues to wait for his sentence, related to a series of incidents that took place last year.

Const. Gregory Sutton, 41, was arrested in March, and charged with two counts of public mischief and intercepting private communications.

Sutton admitted making several calls to Crime Stoppers and anonymously mailing a letter to a school board saying a female teacher was having sexually relations with students and selling drugs to those students.

Those allegations turned out to be false, and Sutton was charged.

He pleaded guilty last month and was scheduled for sentencing Thursday, but the judge did not agree with the joint submission submitted by the Crown attorney and defence counsel.

The case is scheduled to come back to court on Jan. 5, when Sutton will be sentenced.

The eight-year veteran recently resigned from the OPP, effective Jan. 16.
