THUNDER BAY — Impaired driving charges have been laid after a single-car crash near Chippewa Road.
Provincial police responded to a call Tuesday around 7 p.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 61 near Chippewa Road.
Police investigated and determined that the driver was intoxicated by alcohol and was arrested. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
A 25-year-old from Thunder Bay is facing five charges, including drunk driving and driving without a license.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in June.
