ATIKOKAN, Ont. — Two residents of New Brunswick are scheduled to appear in court in Fort Frances on Thursday to face multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle for a roadside check on Highway 11.
Police say their suspicions were raised while they were interviewing the men during a RIDE check last Sunday at the Nym Lake Road intersection east of Atikokan.
Further investigation led to the seizure of cannabis with a street value estimated at $100,000, a substance believed to be cocaine, several thousand dollars in cash, and several thousand Euros.
Both suspects are charged with possession of property obtained by crime and drug-related offences.
