OPP seeking public assistance regarding break and enter

OPP looking for an unknown person who stole a large quantity of Junior Canadian Rangers equipment.

OPP Media Release

(Pickle Lake, ON)  On September 30, 2016, officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Pickle Lake Detachment received a report of a Break and Enter and Theft on Rose Avenue in the Township of Pickle Lake.

Sometime between Wednesday, September 14 and Friday, September 30, 2016, an unknown person gained entry to a trailer and garage and stole a large quantity of Junior Canadian Rangers equipment, valued at approximately $6600.00.

Police were able to recover a large amount of the items taken, but the items still outstanding are: a 9 person Coleman Tent, 2 Coleman camping stoves, cases of Rations, Junior Canadian Ranger backpacks, Junior Canadian Ranger uniforms, 15 sets of green fleece pants, slingshots, 30 tubes of Chapstick, 15 cans of bug spray, 15 arctic candles, 3 laundry bags, 2 sleeping pads, 2 cases of hot chocolate and a first aid kit.

The OPP is requesting anyone with information about this incident to contact the Pickle Lake Detachment at 807-928-2211 or 1-888-310-1122.
